Persons with Disabilities, only 7 States namely Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu have formulated policy for persons with disabilities

Disability Policy

The Department of Personnel & Training has intimated that information about vacant post reserved for persons with disabilities is not centrally maintained. A Special Recruitment Drive for filling up the backlog of persons with disabilities has been launched in November, 2009. The Drive was concluded on 31.03.2012. As per the information received from the 73 Ministries/Departments there were 6003 backlog vacancies, out of which 2388 have been filled up.

As per information available from the Office of Chief Commissioner of Persons with Disabilities, only 7 States namely Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu have formulated policy for persons with disabilities. The Chief Ministers of the concerned States have been requested to formulate their State Disability Policy.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha here today.

Revised Pay Scale from 1.7.2017 for Karnataka Govt Employees Check Your Revised Pension / Family Pension as on 1.7.2017 REVISED SCALES OF PAY:  The existing scales of pay are revised as specified below:-  DATE OF EFFECT: The revised scales of pay shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 1st July 2017. The monetary benefit of the revised scales of pay shall be admissible from 1st April 2018.
