We want One Rank One Pension too: Paramilitary Forces

We want One Rank One Pension too: Paramilitary Forces

We want OROP too: Paramilitary Forces

Even as the Centre struggles in implementing the One Rank One Pension (OROP) system for former defence personnel, members of the paramilitary forces have now presented a demand to be included in the pension scheme.

More than the armed forces, we are the ones who are at the warfronts. We are being discriminated against when it comes to pension schemes. We want the OROP scheme to be implemented for us too, they say.

In a memorandum issued to 7th Central Pay Commission through Home Ministry, paramilitary forces has demanded the OROP for themeselves arguing that they are the ones who are at the warfronts.

The memorandum also insisted the difference in all special allowances with the armed forces. At present, the special allowances given to paramilitary troops is lesser than those given to Army or other service soldiers.

I fully agree with views of Mr. K.C.Kumar-"..Besides OROP the para a military Forces should be granted equal to the Military Services Pay too as their job requirements are identical to the Armed Forces personal..This must be the criteria of the UOI/GOI in all aspects of as all the Armed Forces- like the BSF,CRPF,RPF,CISF and whatever you may call by name and they may be working any Ministry- like the Ministry of Defence; the Ministry of Railways;the Ministry of Home Affairs-all the Personnel and the Pensioners too are working/have worked as that of the Army/Navy/Air Force to protect and safe guard the property and the citizens of India. Why there shall be a discrimination and differential treatment and application of step motherly equations between these Forces of INDIA and in particular in the monthly payments/salary;perks/allowances, and so on; Let the 7 CPC shall take note of the same and recommend One Rank and one Pay and also one Rank and one Pension all the categories

We are all employees/pensioners of Armed Forces of the UOI, but the UOI/GOI is found to be spreading its fangs in a different angle to treat the personnel/pensioners differently from one Ministry to that of the Other by application of differential treatment between one Force to that of the Other- say the monthly salaries/pension of one Armed Force/CPMFS/CPOs like the BSF,CRPF,CISF,RPF differ only because they are working under the command and control of different Ministries- like the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Home Affairs. /there working pattern, training are all one and the same including the application and usage of Arms and Ammunition, They work in their allocated Region and the Area. All are to protect and safeguard the property and citizens of the country. Why then so much of discriminatory treatment in Pay and Allowances, Ranks and Promotional aspects........God knows, when we all the brothers and Sisters of India shall be treated as sons and daughters of Mother India in the payment of pay and Pension.
