Sub: Imparting Moral Education to directly recruited Staff/Supervisors.
This to Intimate that during a meeting with the Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC), it was emphasized that Moral Education should be imparted to all employees on Indian Railway worker to make them aware of their duties.
It has accordingly been decided that two Sessions mainly on Values In Administration; Ethics in Government and provision of Conduct Rules as envisaged in the Railway Servants (Conduct Rules 1968), etc may be taught to the Staff and Supervisors during their Initial/Induction training courses without increasing the duration of the overall training course.
In this regard a Distance Learning Module on “Values in Administration” is available on the Website of the Department of Personnel and Training and this can be used as a source material for training.
Implementation of the above directions may be advised to Board suitably.
